It all began with a need: where to find a partner that could provide comprehensive expertise and solutions for the digitalization and optimization of the entire order-delivery chain – all under one roof?
The industry had a genuine need for a profitability partner that would have the capabilities and resources to help companies boost their production and optimize the entire order-delivery chain from end to end: from sales and engineering to supply chain, manufacturing, logistics and product lifecycle services.
To respond to this need, Roima Intelligence Inc was born.
The motivation behind the creation of Roima was the desire to create a partner from whom the manufacturing industry could get everything they need – all under one roof.
The creation of Roima marked the beginning of a determined growth story. Since its foundation with only 30 employees and a revenue of three million euros, the company has grown at an immense rate: both the headcount and revenue have increased tenfold.
Today, Roima combines the solid expertise and time-tested software solutions of seven companies; the Finnish Delta-Enterprise, Done Software Solutions, Lean Forward, Lean System, Modultek and Logia Software as well as the Swedish Sprymer AB are now part of Roima.
2014
Established in 1989, Delta Enterprise focused on electrical and mechanical engineering and design. In the 1990s, the company’s started shift its focus to delivering automation (PLC&SCADA) services, which became the company’s primary business. In-depth automation and equipment integration know-how is still one of the major corner stones of Roima’s added value.
Later, the company also entered new business areas like industrial IT and machine vision solutions. The first tailor-made systems were soon followed by extensive MES solutions based on the commercial MES platforms. This started a new era for the company, and since those days, MES and machine vision solutions combined with consultation services have formed an essential part of the company’s business.
2015
Operations Management & Enterprise Resource Planning Business from Tieto
Through mergers and acquisitions, Lean System was moved under Tieto (TT-Tieto at that time) and dedicated as the only brand and product platform for the business. Lean System was positioned as a midsize enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution for manufacturing and industrial service industries, and later on also as an operations management tool, with a special focus on manufacturing operations management and industrial service business.
Service Business from Lean Forward
Due to the industrial background of Lean Forward consultants, the company has been able to offer Lean System users advanced services based on in-depth know-how, as well as expert, training and development services in operations management. From Roima, the customer can now get hands-on expertise in shop floor operations, sales and operation planning and order-to-delivery processes.
Intralogistics from Done Software Solutions
The roots of this company based in the Finnish city of Seinäjoki extend all the way to the year 1978 and to Teknillinen Toimisto Esko Salo Ky, located in the city of Kauhajoki. Within just a few years from its foundation, Esko Salo expanded the company’s operations and started to deliver turnkey intralogistics solutions also to international customers. Over the span of its long history and before acquired by Roima, the company’s name and ownership changed more than once, and in 2010, the company was known by the name Done Software Solutions, with its offering focusing on the FidaWare product family.
2016
Product data is linked to many operations in a company’s order-delivery chain. With Modultek’s entry, Roima’s offering was expanded to also include the sharing of engineering and manufacturing data in industrial networks among principals and subcontractors – as that requires advanced product management.
Modultek was the first company in Finland whose experts were certified ISO 8000 Master Data Managers.
2018
We got the leading Swedish manufacturing operations management solutions specialist and integrator, serving technology and food and beverage companies. In addition, the company’s know-how in artificial intelligence and machine learning complement Roima’s offering.
2019
Logia has a long history in logistics; the company’s journey began already in 1975.
In particular, the entry of Logia reinforces Roima’s logistics know-how; our customers can now get the solutions for the management of their entire supply chain from a single partner.
2020
