Consignor and Roima sign strategic cooperation agreement

The cooperation will promote Roima’s mission to strengthen the competitiveness of the European industry.
Roima and Consignor have signed an agreement on strategic cooperation. By combining the strengths of both companies, we will be able to provide an even more competitive offering for our customers than before. Roima’s customers will get to tap into to Consignor’s growing global electronic network that covers over 800 transport companies worldwide, while Consignor’s customers will gain access to Roima’s value-added logistics services, delivered with decades of experience.
“We at Consignor are extremely happy about this new cooperation with Roima. Roima’s decades of experience in logistics management combined with Consignor’s experience in delivery management will enable us to introduce an excellent, unparalleled solution package to the market.”
– Petri Karjalainen Country Manager, Consignor Finland
“I personally think that this enables us to export Finnish logistics know-how to global markets together with internationally operating Finnish companies, thus strengthening their competitiveness”, states Petri Karjalainen.
Tommi Nylander, Director of Logistics Business at Roima, agrees with Karjalainen: “Consignor’s extensive transportation network and know-how complement Roima’s logistics capabilities, and the value-added services developed by us at Roima will introduce new possibilities to tap into the data collected from Consignor’s network.”
The cooperation thus creates huge potential for new partners and their customers, who from now on will get comprehensive transport logistics solutions through a single channel.
The right data to support decision-making
Based on the available data produced by the network, it is possible to gain a holistic view of the progress of deliveries and events. This helps to control the transport process more efficiently while also providing tools for fact-based decision making and the optimization of operations. When data is reliable and available in real time, the overall processes will become more efficient and the company will be able to provide better service to its customers. This brings clear benefits, especially to industrial and retail companies.
Karjalainen is excited about the cooperation: “It speaks volumes about the attractiveness of the solution offered by us in partnership that the first projects are already in planning and we will very likely get to roll up our sleeves already before the end of this year”.
Nylander continues: “We highly value this starting cooperation. It becomes concrete right away and will continue long into the future.”
Together the new partners will help companies digitalize, control and optimize their transportation activities.

No-one can alone be the best at everything – we value good partners who complement our offering to ensure that our customers will always get the solution that best serves their unique needs.
