Sinituote Oy is a successful Finnish family-owned manufacturer of household products for home and car cleaning and clothing care and the leading developer, producer and marketeer of cleaning products in the Nordic countries. Sinituote is a long-standing professional – the company recently celebrated its 30th anniversary, and its roots go even deeper: the production of cleaning products began already in the 40s under the name Sini-Tuote, a company that the Brotherus family purchased in 1988 and renamed Sinituote.
Sinituote has a strong R&D focus, which can be seen in its high-quality products and investments in ergonomics, eco-friendliness and good design. A high-quality production process is also a part of the continuous improvement of the company’s practices.
Continuous improvement together
A little over a year ago, Sinituote began to look for a new partner to develop the company’s business processes in good cooperation. In addition, Sinituote wanted to replace their old enterprise resource planning system with a new and more flexible one, with the goal of improving their production planning in particular. Thus, Sinituote started to search for and compare potential suppliers, and chose Roima as their cooperation partner.

Sinituote is used to doing things itself. The company has a huge amount of talent and know-how. The company’s SINI-branded products are designed and manufactured in the municipality of Kokemäki in Finland. Production equipment and lines are very specific, and even the robotic production cells are built by the company itself, to accurately meet Sinituote’s own needs.
Even though development is continuous, it is made in reasonable cycles, while ensuring cost efficiency. Automation is added where it improves competitiveness.
From Kokemäki out into the world
The customer base of Sinituote consists of retail stores and wholesalers and, through the company’s online store, also households. With the support of Roima, Sinituote has invested in boosting and automating its production planning and improving the overall monitoring of operations. Demand management and production planning work well together, which sustains a sufficient level of inventory while ensuring that capital is not tied up unnecessarily. In production, tasks are performed resource efficiently and in a sensible order, and production efficiency has been improved. The RoimaSoftware Lean System mobile application for mobile sales representatives enables the placement of orders for the customer directly on the spot. Even the online store is connected to Roima’s system.
The cooperation of Roima and Sinituote has borne fruit – both parties help one another. Roima is not a faceless system supplier but a committed development partner that carries out its responsibilities for realizing the agreed plans and for maintaining the list of development tasks in an appropriate way.
SINI products have been developed in accordance with the principle of continuous improvement, and the majority of the company’s products have been awarded the Finnish Key Flag Symbol (Avainlippu) – a sign for Finnish work. The company’s headquarters are located at the Erkylä manor in Hyvinkää, Finland. Together with its subsidiaries, Sinituote Oy forms a multi-sectoral SINI Group.
