I was born and have lived my whole life in the city of Mikkeli in Eastern Finland. In my spare time, I mainly enable the hobbies of my kids and do some woodwork and renovations around the house. I enjoy exercising, taking walks, going to the gym, and motorcycling – all kinds of motorized and exiting devices are objects of interest to me. It seems like starting a new hobby is one of my hobbies. Now I am getting back into an old hobby of mine, namely mountain biking.
Being a Finn, sauna is also very close to my heart and I want to count it as one of my hobbies.
Experience in the field
I started my career as a blue-collar worker in the food industry, where I joined my first greenfield factory project in a new factory built up by Järvi-Suomen Portti in Mikkeli. After the project, I continued at the company as a shift supervisor. From there, I moved on to production planning, modelling the functionality and processes together with my colleagues. For most of my career, I have worked in supply chain management as an expert and organization leader. When HKScan acquired Järvi-Suomen Portti, I moved to production development, where I was involved in building the company’s import process and in production development projects. In 2013, I had the opportunity to move over to the systems department and take charge of a global MES program as a program manager.
I first joined Roima in September 2016 as a lead consultant for food and beverage business unit. After 2.5 years, I left for a while to work in the steel industry, where I was in charge of global process management to manufacturing and automation. After six months, in September 2019, I rejoined Roima. It’s nice to be back!
I have been working in all production-related areas in the industry, so I thoroughly understand the process dependencies and the needs for synchronization. Thanks to my extensive experience, I know how to communicate between different areas and how to help the development team to reach the desired business benefits.
