Roima to deliver a Machine Vision System for Lockheed Martin’s F-35 production with Fastems

The robotic cells are designed to automatically remove primers and other protective coatings from F-35 wing components using laser ablation. Business benefits come from improved and consistent quality, efficiency and reduction of manual tasks. Roima’s vision system is responsible for fine positioning and quality control of the laser ablation process.

Fastems and Roima have a strong and committed partnership through 25 years of cooperation in business systems and applications. The relationship expanded to encompass machine vision technologies already several years ago. Joint projects have involved machine tending, accurate 3D measurements, code reading and vision system consultation.
