
TRAINING: Roima Aton for CAD (for SOLIDWORKS or Inventor, English, online)
In the Roima Aton for CAD user training, you will learn sufficient knowledge and skills to effectively utilize the Roima Aton PDM system in designing together with SOLIDWORKS and Autodesk Inventor software.
The following prior knowledge and skills are required to participate:
- Basic knowledge of SOLIDWORKS or Autodesk Inventor software
The training covers the following areas:
- Basic information and deployment of the Aton for CAD program
- Principles of data management with Aton for CAD
- Working with items and documents
- Structure management
- Aton for CAD user interface
- Features of the Aton task pane, Aton ribbon and feature tree
- Basic use of Aton for CAD
- Check In and Check Out functions
- Import of parts, assemblies and drawings to Aton
- Document and item management
- Assembly management
- Insert
- Replace
- Using the Check Validity function
- Drawing management
- Advanced use of Aton for CAD
- Create and use material items with parts
- Create and use metric good items with assemblies
- Using SOLIDWORKS configurations
- Use Inventor Presentation (IPN) files
- Using the Import function
- Work and temporary file management, log file
The training will be held online via Microsoft Teams; you can also get involved without an app through a browser.
In the training, you must have your own computer at your disposal, on which you can install the software needed for the training if you wish, and where you have available SOLIDWORKS 2019, -20 or -21 or Autodesk Inventor 2019, -20 or -21. Roima’s Aton Training teaching environment is used in the training. Approximately one week before the training, we will send more detailed instructions on how to prepare for the training and ask you to install the training environment in advance according to the instructions.
